Covid 19 Safety Outline
October 23, 2020
The owners of Secret Clubhouse Sound + Recording are committed to preventing the transmission of COVID-19 and to maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for their clients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND ANY STUDIO SESSION IF:
1. You are experiencing the following conditions or symptoms: a common cold, influenza, COVID-19, or any other infectious respiratory disease.
2. You have been in contact with a person who is required to self isolate due to COVID-19 or you have travelled outside Canada in the last 14 days
Anyone attending who suspects they may have been exposed to COVID-19 are asked to get tested and follow the recommendations of the local Public Health Office.
All persons must adhere to the current Public Health Officer’s Orders regulating travel and large gatherings.
Secret Clubhouse Sound + Recording will, if contacted within a reasonable timeframe, work as best as possible to accommodate re-bookings for sessions cancelled due to COVID specific reasons.
Questions or concerns regarding these policies and procedures should be directed to our 'Contact' page here.
Secret Clubhouse will ensure that when clients and staff arrive they are keeping 2 metres apart inside the studio space, and will ensure they use the provided hand sanitizer prior to entering the studio, and regularly during recording and sessions.
We strongly recommend that our clients bring and wear a mask (or face shield if unable to wear a mask) during sessions – masks are required when moving to/from seats or washroom and when exiting the studio. If clients forget to bring a mask, the studio will provide them disposable masks.
As required by the Provincial Health Officer we will record and keep the name and email or phone number of each client attending booked sessions to facilitate contact tracing. We will retain this information for 30 days.
Secret Clubhouse Sound + Recording studio has a maximum capacity of 4 persons - an example of a session may present as 3 clients and 1 studio engineer or producer within a scheduled session time.
These limits are dependent upon safely maintaining 6ft/2m social distance. The studio owners will ensure all clients within the studio are social distancing properly.
If recording vocals, masks may be temporarily removed by the vocalist / talent during tracking. At the conclusion of vocal tracking, all touchable surfaces within the isolation booth, including microphone, cables, stands, tables and other surfaces will be cleaned with a sterilizing cleaner, as per our studio cleaning protocol below.
Prior to entering or leaving the studio, all clients and staff will be required to clean hands with provided hand sanitizer. The staff will also encourage regular hand washing and sanitizing throughout the day and will have sanitizer easily accessible to all clients and staff.
In between all sessions, including half-days, studio owners will clean all touchable surfaces after session with a sterilizing cleaner.
This includes all light switches, door handles, stall handles, toilet flush handles, toilet seats, light switches, taps, countertops, sinks, paper towel and toilet paper dispensers. Recording and sound equipment will also be cleaned twice a day - this includes microphones, cables, microphone stands, breakout boxes, mix boards, and instruments.
We understand ventilation with outside air is critically important so when possible, doors and windows at Secret Clubhouse Sound will be open when not tracking to allow for regular ventilation.
Washroom use will be for one person at a time, to avoid crossing over others who may also require the washroom.
We appreciate our clients adhering to these guidelines, so we can all have an enjoyable recording experience, as well as help keep each other safe!
